Technological Breakthrough! Intelligent Ultra-High Pressure Water Cutting Facilitates the Industrialization of Green Recycling of Wind Turbine Blades

With my country’s installed wind power capacity exceeding 600 million kilowatts, the first batch of large-scale decommissioned wind turbine blades has entered its peak disposal period. Concentrated waste-generating areas such as electronic circuit board dismantling and automobile/high-speed rail scrapping, along with dispersed scenarios like municipal engineering renovations and sports equipment upgrades, collectively create an urgent demand for thermosetting composite material recycling. However, the industry still faces challenges such as slow technological innovation and limited industrial implementation. Traditional recycling methods struggle to achieve high-value utilization of materials, hindering the large-scale development of the circular economy.  

Against this backdrop, chemical degradation, with its efficient depolymerization and resource regeneration capabilities, has become a key path to overcome industry bottlenecks. To accelerate the transformation of technological achievements and build a closed-loop ecosystem encompassing R&D, application, and industry, the Fiber Composite Materials Recycling Branch of the China National Resources Recycling Association will hold the “2025 4th Wind Turbine Blade and Other Composite Material Recycling Industrialization Development Conference” in Chengde City, Hebei Province, from November 13th to 14th, 2025. The conference, themed “Green Chemical Recycling, Empowering Large-Scale Industrial Implementation,” aims to accelerate the industrialization of composite material solid waste across all sectors by constructing a complete industrial chain solution from “retirement disposal” to “resource regeneration.” As an innovative enterprise in the wind power equipment field, Forplus Intelligent Equipment (Chongqing) Co., Ltd. was invited to participate, showcasing its ultra-high pressure intelligent waterjet cutting solution for wind turbine blade dismantling.

In line with the conference theme, Forplus Intelligent Equipment presented its “Next-Generation Ultra-High Pressure Intelligent Water Cutting Green Dismantling Solution” for wind turbine blade recycling, which attracted widespread attention from attendees. Cao Di, Vice General Manager of Weijia Intelligent Equipment, stated that the company will use this conference as an opportunity to deepen cooperation with upstream and downstream enterprises in the industry chain. The promotion of Weijia Intelligent Equipment’s ultra-high pressure water cutting technology provides a new solution to the challenges of wind turbine blade dismantling, driving the industry’s transformation from low-value recycling to high-value utilization.
