  Traditional robot programming is mainly completed through teaching programming, relying on the naked eye or simple auxiliary tools to compare the front end of the water jet head with the cutting position of the workpiece , operate the teaching pendant, and program segment by segment. In most application scenarios of traditional robot water jets, such as cutting car interiors, this method is used. This method has simple logic and is widely used, but it has obvious limitations:

First, the trajectory positioning accuracy is insufficient ;

Second, the robot posture control accuracy is poor ;

Third, programming takes a long time and the workload of on-site operations is large.

Offline programming is the next generation programming technology widely used in the robotics industry. In the simulation environment built by computer offline programming software, based on the accurate 3D model of the workpiece and equipment , the machine waterjet cutting trajectory is simulated for programming, and the post-program is finally exported and deployed on the robot for operation.
