Have you ever used FORPLUS food waterjet cutter for cake and chocolate cutting?
What’s an forplus food grade all-in-one waterjet cutter?
The Forplus cake & chocolate waterjet Cutter uses food-grade purified water, generating a high-pressure, non-dispersive, ultra-fine water jet through a high-pressure pump and an extremely fine orifice to cut food.
Specific designed for food cutting, including fresh/frozen cakes, chocolates, biscuits, pork, beef, fish etc, for customized shapes, splicing graphics and creative desserts etc.

How does food waterjet cutting machine work?
The water with an orifice between 0.1 and 0.2 mm, flows through the cake at 2.7 times the speed of sound. Whether the cake is fresh or frozen, this water flow cleanly and efficiently cuts it, meeting food cold chain requirements.
Because we use waterjet cutting, we can perform both straight and curved cuts. The cut quality depends on the product itself, the product temperature, and the cutting speed. The cutting speed for 3mm chocolate is 5000mm/min. For some semi-frozen cakes, mousses, or cakes, the cutting speed can reach up to 2000mm/min.
We use only pure water for cutting, without any abrasives. The operator places the cake on the loading tray, closes the safety door, selects the desired shape, and then clicks “start” to complete the automatic cutting. The operator can perform other tasks while the machine is cutting the cake.
Does the cake&chocolate get wet?
Water passes through the pastry at 2.7 times the speed of sound. The remaining moisture is far less than that produced by ultrasonic cutting or manual cutting. The product can be transported refrigerated or frozen without any problems.The patented design ensures that there will be no water mist or splashing during the cutting process.

Which kind of food can be cut ?
The variety of food that can be cut by this method is higher than with any other method of cutting, especially if we consider that it is a suitable technique for cutting products at -18 °C.
The food products we tested include:
Fresh cakes up to 100mm in size, containing fillings, cream, or nuts;
Frozen cakes up to 50mm in size;
Chocolates up to 50mm in size, and chocolates containing nuts up to 30mm in size;
Cookies, sandwich cookies, waffles, and wafers up to 50mm in size;
Other food categories are pending testing.
However, as a waterjet cutter, it also has some limitations: it’s not recommended to store freshly cut and packaged products at room temperature. I suggest letting certain foods air dry for a few minutes after cutting, freezing them, or slightly modifying the recipe to prevent sticking. We believe the machine’s flexibility in cutting different products is one of its greatest advantages.
Can I design any shapes?
Supports personalized graphic creation.Our graphic library includes circles, squares, triangles, and rectangles, with over 1000+ shapes available for you to use. Of course, you can also draw your own graphics and import them into the machine’s cutting software. What’s more, the machine is equipped with automatic nesting software that can automatically arrange the graphics to be cut.
What is the production capacity?
Production capacity is related to the materials and hardness of the food.For instance :cutting a 600*400mm frozen mousse cake into 30 portions takes approximately 2 minutes. The cutting speed is 3000 mm/min.
How will it affect my business?
Initially, workers typically performed straight cuts. However, the cost savings began to emerge. The first change we noticed was the ability to cut the desired quantity of product at any time, leaving the remainder in the freezer, thus maintaining the cold chain. Most food items could be immediately returned to the freezer after cutting. The cuts were uniform, vertical, with perfect top edges and no color bleeding between cake layers. Anyone in the workshop could operate the machine, and the results were consistent every time.
Once workers became proficient, they could begin cutting cakes of various shapes. This eliminated the need to purchase molds, resulting in further cost savings. Furthermore, we could adjust the size of each cake through a program, preventing dimensional errors caused by unsuitable mold shapes. We simply adjusted parameters in the CNC software, lengthening or narrowing by a few millimeters, and achieved a new cut shape within two minutes.
From then on, this machine became a key component of our business. Cutting time was significantly reduced compared to before, allowing us to have more qualified staff available for other operations.
